Adam McMahon is an only child, born on Betazed but raised on Earth, he grew up knowing only so much about his home on Betazed. At a young age Adam had shown a gift for retaining knowledge at an incredible rate, all though not uncommon amongst Betazoid children, it did serve to help him in the long run, classes/subjects came easier to him, and at the age of 10 he was interested in Temporal Mechanics and whatever other information he could get his hands on while on Earth. Later on his interests changed to helping people in a greater manner, to become a counselor and help people deal with problems they could not in normal situations. McMahon attended the Academy at the age of 15 and graduated later on at the top of his class. At the age of 19, McMahon had his first child in which the mother died soon there after and he was left to raise the child on his own.

Adam McMahon's life as a Betazed is mildly reflected by his surroundings, Ambassador McMahon (Adam's father) chose to raise his child on Earth, to more diversify his upbringing. Shedding their Betazoid names upon arrival on Earth. The house of Teloi is a prominent house on Betazed, on of the most wealthy, as well as humble on the planet. Stardate 9709.04: After quite a long period of time, Cadet McMahon has not changed in his positions in the least, his mind is still set on his goal, which is excellent, I think though that I might request that he try to become more aggressive in the way he handles himself, being nice is good, but he'll need more than that when he's on an actual mission.

Stardate 9809.04: Now here's something good about McMahon's development, he has told me that he started taking a Tactical training course to improve his command ability, this will hopefully have a positive outcome in the way he holds himself, and the way he's looking it seems to have worked. I'm glad to report that we might have a good potential officer on our hands but don't quote me on that just yet.

Stardate 020628: This is one of my last entries into Cadet McMahon's file, he's decided to take some more courses this time around to prepare himself, and I think it's a good idea, hopefully he'll be on a good ship when he graduates, with my recommendation, maybe I can at least get a good frigate. Oh well, McMahon's a good person and I've come to known him personally, he's been through a lot this middle of this year, he had a son, and the mother of him died, so, he's going to be taking care of the kid by himself...I hope everything works out.
